It evolved from wild camping when it is essential to leave minimum trace but you still want your campfire.
At campsites which do not permit campfires Hotsam acts as a charcoal brazier.
It burns charcoal or wood and will outlast hundreds of fires.
Camp cooking on the Hotsam is easy with pan, kettle or wok placed directly on the flames.
To reduce or eliminate firescar, find and lay a double layer of suitable stones to keep it off the ground.
